On July 9th I opened a show for Michael Martin Murphy at The City Hall Saloon in Cumberland, King County. It was a great night of warm weather and classic western songs by America's favorite cowboy singer. When "Murph" as he likes to be called took the stage he thanked the crowd and said "those renditions of songs that Billy sang tonight are the best I've ever heard... "
It was a compliment and a moment I'll never forget.
